San Gabriel Valley Pema Chodron Meetup

Welcome! This group is dediated to taking Pema Chodron as our "virtual Guru", our root teacher. Drawing from her books, CDs and DVDs, we will discuss her teachings and commentries, or perhaps just gather and live what we've learned.

Being a westerner herself and living a full life before converting to Buddhism and ultimately taking her vows as a nun, Ani Pema has become a powerful voice, perhaps THE voice in how to apply Mahayana/Vajrayana Buddhist Dharma for westerners. Without watering down the Dharma in order to cater to the New Age crowd, her teachings are universal, crystal clear and highly digestible to a western audience. Regardless of your spiritual path, if you have found her teachings to improve your life or simply to make you think, why don't you give our group a try and meet some people that have shared your experience.
